HWHC Annual Dinner!

Saturday 7th April 2018

Location: Thomas Lord Suite, Lord's Cricket Ground, NW8 8QN (enter through the Grace Dates entrance on St. John's Wood Road).
Time: 7pm 'til late
Date: Saturday 7th April
Dress: Black Tie
Format: Three course dinner followed by dancing and revelry
Tickets: £80 pp

RSVP: Your captain will have nominated a coordinator, if not themselves, who will take responsibility for coordinating your team's RSVPs. Please a) let them know ASAP if you're keen b) Pay your ticket on Slate.

After rumours of people having too much fun in the sinks last year, our lovely social gurus had to ask oh so nicely for permission to be granted for us to return. On the absolute promise that sinkgate would not be repeated, the Marylebone Cricket Club have kindly let us return to Lord's this year. Let's please honour this promise!

Lord's is nice and central - walking distance from St John's Wood, Marylebone, Baker Street and of course, the home of HWHC, Maida Vale.

Dinner will be hosted in the Thomas Lord Suite, a large self-contained venue overlooking the Gardens, in the shadow of the Pavilion. The suite comes with it's own secure cloakroom, fully stocked bar and dance floor.

For those of you who wish to pre-drink on-site you can do so at the Lord's Tavern, one of several local pubs but this one has the advantage of sitting directly below the Thomas Lord Suite.

Ticket prices include a three course dinner, ½ bottle of wine, as well as the usual prize giving and speeches.

We look forward to celebrating another great season with you!!

New time: M1s at home at 1:30pm Saturday 11th November

Please note the new time for the M1s match against Sevenoaks which is now at 1:30pm tomorrow (11.11.17) at Paddington Recreational Ground.
It would be great to see as many of you there as possible to cheer our boys on!

Also the L1s are playing at 2pm on Sunday 12th November in Wimbledon at King's College Sports Ground. If any of you south of the river folks fancy watching a great match!

And lastly (but by no means least) our Zak Hond boys will be playing in East Grinstead on Sunday at 12pm in the England Hockey Championships. If any of you fancy getting out of London - do come along and cheer them on!

HWHC City Drinks!

November is rubbish. It's dark when you leave for work and it's dark when you're coming home. It rains but doesn't snow. Halloween has been and gone and it's too early to put up the Christmas tree. Rubbish!!

Luckily HWHC are here to bring a little midweek happiness to help you get over the worst of the winter blues. On Thursday Nov 9th we're having a good old fashioned shindig because there is literally nothing better to do. Turn up to enjoy a few drinks, some food, and most importantly friends old and new. So lay the seeds of Friday's sick day by telling your boss you're feeling a little queasy around lunchtime and pretend your headache is developing through the afternoon.

We'll see you at  Paddington Pergola from 7pm!!

HWHC M1s kick off 2017/18 in the Men’s National Premier League vs Brooklands MHC

Kwan Browne will start his second campaign in charge of HWHC Men's 1st team tomorrow, welcoming Brooklands to Paddington Recreation Ground for a 1.30pm pushback. Kwan and the side hope to build on and improve on last year's highest ever finish in the premier league of 4th. In addition to the previous announcement of GB International Harry Martin, we are pleased to welcome to the squad Jonny Gooch of Wales, Will Byas from Beeston, Jamie Legg from Richmond, Josh Kelly from Birmingham Uni and Kyle White from Banbury. We welcome any support that can come out tomorrow for the Men and are eagerly awaiting the start of the season.

*This season HWHC is pleased to have partnered with Hawkinsport and Specialist Sports Shoes to be playing in Adidas kit and Hawkinsport shirts.
