Sir Christopher Hatton Pub
The evening of Saturday 17th November sees the return of the Zak Hond Annual Pub Golf Fundraiser Championship. An event that is now in its 7th year, and one that brings with it a sense of excitement and dread in equal measure!
One pub in particular is still trying to fathom an unexpected spike of the sale of rose wine, selling 90% of their total annual sale on a random Saturday between October and December.
For those of you that have not been before, it is a great opportunity to meet the rest of the club, sample the delights of some pubs you will never have been before and won’t go again (until next year), end up a ‘little tipsy’, all whilst wearing golfing attire. What is there not to like? For those of you that have been before you know it is one of the ‘not to be missed’ events on the social calendar.
The start is slightly different to usual – with ‘registration’ at the Sir Christopher Hatton Pub (EC1N 7RA – near Chancery Lane) from 7pm. If running a little late the first hole is at 7.30pm at the Inn of Court (Chancery Lane). Entry is £5 which goes towards supporting the club.
If you are running even later then keep an eye out for the HWHC twitter account for a running commentary of where the first group are and the next pub they will be travelling to. (Beware the reliability of this information will decrease the later you are!)
The Clubhouse (final hole) will be the Glassblower (W1B 5JY near Piccadilly Circus) from about 10pm.
